The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and immaculate. The staff was nice and gave great recommendations. The location was convenient, away from the city center but still close. The breakfast was varied and low on sugar.
All was perfect.

A beautiful setting, wonderful peace and quiet but only a short bus ride from Ushuaia. When I joined my tour group the following day I had to stay in a noisy hotel, no garden and over three times the price. Staff very welcoming - I would thoroughly recommend it.

Lovelly small hotel with spacious rooms. Staff were very helpful and accomodating. Let me leave my motorcycle and luggage there for 10 days whilst on a cruise to Antarctica. Hotel is situated just out of town, either a $5US taxi ride or 20 minute walk.

Spent xmas at this hotel. Views from the room were awesome and the complimentary breakfast was delish. The staff was quite friendly and helpful with directions. The location was ideal for those who love to hike, with some beautiful trails nearby.
The hotel was located far from the downtown, which made it difficult to explore the city. Taxis were quite expensive and public transportation was not readily available.

Staff was always willing to help in everything: trips and excursions, taxis, customer service, breakfast, etc. Location is really nice - it's 20 pesos to downtown but hotel is located at a very peaceful area which allows some very nice walks and also has a nearby supermarket (walking distance). Hotel has a very nice backyard garden with some tables.
Streets around the hotel are not paved (underway) so dust can be annoying sometimes

The design was quite good with views of the mountains. The hotel itself is clean.
There were hidden costs like orange juice for example for breakfast. The location was really poor. It was quite difficult to find and its really away from the central of the city. There are a lot of stray dogs roaming around.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, away from the bustling city center. It provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for guests to enjoy. The staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful, providing excellent service to ensure a pleasant stay for guests. The rooms are equipped with basic amenities and feature homemade furniture, which adds a cozy touch to the overall ambiance. The breakfast offered at this hotel includes a delicious fruit salad, which is a refreshing and healthy start to the day.
No improvement needed, everything was satisfactory.

It's a nice hostel, a little far from the center of Ushuaia but this is solved by using a taxi, it's cheap, around 30 Argentinian Pesos or 6 usd from the hotel to downtown. For the rest, rooms are cosy, clean, if you like rustic style, you are there.

It is a very pretty building, with lots of local wood forming stairs, columns, etc. The room was perfectly fine. While their dinner meal was not scheduled until 9 PM, they were accommodating and able to get me food at least somewhat earlier (8 PM). It is only a couple of blocks to a market so I could walk there to get things as needed.
As an English speaker, some of the staff does not speak much English (the person who checked me in did, and that was great). I did not have a whole lot of need, so things worked OK. They did try. Coming from the US, the late dinner hours (even 8 PM is very late for me) were inconvenient.

This hotel is a great choice for a peaceful stay on a quiet street. the location is perfect as it is nestled in a nice neighborhood, which is new and full of modern amenities. You will find a well-stocked supermarket nearby. the rooms are quite spacious and the bathrooms are clean. the staff is very helpful and friendly. You can enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning and relax in the lovely garden in the evening. the view from the dining area is breathtaking.
I did experience some noise from the barking dogs in the neighborhood late at night.

They are amazing! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, very nice environment. Good breakfast. Some simple options for lunch/dinner. They do everything for you to feel almost like home. They help you get set in terms of tours, transport. You don't need to worry much. Just enjoy your trip. I highly recommend the Hosteria. The price is good, considering the quality of the rooms/service. I was there alone, but I would say that it is a great place for couples, and ok for families too (there is no place specific for kids, but they do have a little backyard).
The only "down" side is that you will need to take a taxi to go to downtown (at least during the winter, for sure. I don't know about summer.). It is located 10-15min away from Calle San Martin, which is the heart of the city (restaurants, commerce, banks, shops, etc). But in my opinion, it worth the trip, as you will stay in a very calm place, perfect for resting. The wifi there is not very good (as well as at several other hotels). Don't expect be able to load a youtube video or have a skype call. On the other hand, they will do their best to help you with this matter.

The management is the best part of the Hosteria del Recodo. The owners are so friendly and helped organize all of our excursions. They treated us like family.
